Welcome
Join us on June 1, 2013 at 5:00pm for the 10th annual Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival. Sign up below. We have sold out the last four years, 2 weeks prior to the event, so if you would like to join us don't delay.
The 10th Annual Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival is being held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Hamilton Children’s Garden, the newest part of San Diego Botanic Garden located at 230 Quail Gardens Dr., Encinitas, Ca. 92024. The Hamilton Children’s Garden is a $4,000,000 addition to the garden with a multi-level tree house, a new interactive garden, surrounded by more than 15 exciting exhibits which encourage children young and old to discover and appreciate nature. Guests of our event will have an opportunity to stroll around the garden and the rest of this beautiful property sampling fine wines and beverages from around the world.
In addition, our local restaurants offer a taste sampling of their best dishes and desserts. We will have top musicians entertaining the crowd in this relaxed setting. Our Silent Auction and Raffle are some of the evenings other highlights. We are a “Green Waste” event and offer a prize for carbon footprint reduction through carpooling. With over 600 guests we had less than 5 gallons of non recyclable trash! Our goal for 2013 is to have zero non recyclables as well as offering a prize for carbon footprint reduction through carpooling.
This outstanding event presented by the Encinitas Rotary Club, has grown from 400 attendees in 2005 to over 750 in 2011 with a sellout for each of the last 4 years. Our event is unique in that the majority of monies raised are returned to our community charities. Since its inception, the Encinitas Wine Festival has been able to distribute over $610,000 to those charities. Our goal this year is to raise $110,000 with 900 attendees. The net proceeds from the event will be divided between several worthy 501 (c) (3) charities. These charities fall into two categories: Those that focus on Children and those that meet a Community Need.
